CCRC Actuaries, LLC dba Continuing Care Actuaries (CCA) is a leading actuarial consulting firm for the senior living industry in the United States. As the IT/Software Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting CCA’s overall growth strategy by using computer-based information systems and software applications. Project work may involve writing in-house custom database applications.  We are seeking someone who is hard-working, detail-oriented, and has a proven track record of success.  In this key position, you will work closely with our clients and our actuarial and marketing teams to achieve established goals and implement business development initiatives that maximize and grow the CCA footprint and the general bottom-line revenue for the company.  This position reports directly to the IT Director.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support our proprietary software for 200+ communities nationwide. Support includes setup and live installations, demonstrations, and training.
  • Collect client data in various forms and convert it into a format that can be imported into our proprietary software.
  • Analyze data (Excel, Access, etc.), identify potential issues, and develop programming to create databases and/or spreadsheets utilized by CCA actuaries.  (Current programming is in FoxPro; however, programming in a newer language (MySQL, SQLite, etc.) is desired.)
  • Resolve user issues and answer questions via phone, video conferencing, and email.
  • Provide annual updates to client databases and software.
  • Serve as a liaison between CCA staff and the development team for our proprietary software.
  • Collaborate with CCA actuaries in setting assumptions used within our proprietary software.
  • Manage Office 365 accounts in a SharePoint environment and support approximately one dozen users (some of whom have multiple PCs).
  • Responsible for maintenance, repair, and installation of PCs (software and hardware), printers, and other technological needs.
  • Responsible for new technology product purchase recommendations.
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Working knowledge of computer systems, security, and databases.
  • Proficient in database programming for completing custom analyses of varied databases.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite, specifically MS Word and Excel.
  • 2+ years of related work experience.
  • Expertise in troubleshooting hardware and software issues related to internal IT.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • A passion for providing explementary customer service.
